Lalit Narayan Mithila University  (LNMU) was established on 5th August 1972 by an ordinance of the government of Bihar subsequently enacted through legislatures. University is run by the act of Bihar State universities act,1976. University is located in Darbhanga district of Bihar. 


For the new session 2020-23 of UG courses it has release a schedule after pandemic of CoVid-19. Which are as follows :- 

1. Online Application apply start : 1.10.2020

2. Last date of apply : 16.10.2020

3. Publication of provisional selection list: 21.10.2020

4. Online submission of objections against provisional list, if any : 22.10.2020 and 23.10.2020

5. Publication of first selection list : 27.10.2020

6. Admission at concerned college on the basis of 1st list : 28.10.2020 - 5.11.2020

7. Commencement of class : 6.11.2020

(Publication of 2nd , 3rd and 4th list as per availability of vacant seats).

INTRODUCTION :- An induction motor (IM) is a type of asynchronous AC motor where power is supplied to the rotating device by means of electromagnetic induction. The induction motor with a wrapped rotor was invented by Nikola Tesla Nikola Tesla in 1882 in France but the initial patent was issued in 1888 after Tesla had moved to the United States. In his scientific work, Tesla laid the foundations for understanding the way the motor operates. The induction motor with a cage was invented by Mikhail Dolivo-Dobrovolsky about a year later in Europe. Technological development in the field has improved to where a 100 hp (74.6 kW) motor from 1976 takes the same volume as a 7.5 hp (5.5 kW) motor did in 1897.
